Richard N Fedorak, MD - President and Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Richard Fedorak is a Professor of Faculty of Medicine, and Associate Vice-President (Research) at the University of Alberta. Dr Fedorak is a recognized international expert in gastrointestinal disorders, as well as a recipient of numerous awards and over $35 million in research fellowships and grants. Dr Fedorak serves on multiple national and international scientific advisory boards and has published over 400 peer-reviewed manuscripts.

Reg Joseph, BSc, MBA - Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Joseph has 15 years experience in the biotechnology and high technology sectors and has worked with large publically traded firms, start-ups, and the investment banking industry. Mr. Joseph's prior experience includes serving as an equity research associate analyst with Boston-based Leerink Swann & Co., where he covered the life science tools sector. He also spent 4 years at US-based Invitrogen Corp (now Life Technologies) in a variety of roles with his most recent being the business area manager responsible for Invitrogen's bioproduction segment ($50MM) with an emphasis on designing novel products and services targeted to the early stage process development market.

Haili Wang, MD - Vice President and Chief Scientific Officer
Dr. Haili Wang is a colorectal surgeon and Assistant Professor at the University of Alberta Hospital, and has recently completed her Masters degree in Clinical Epidemiology. Her area of research expertise relates to urine metabolomics and colorectal cancer screening. Dr. Wang has presented at numerous clinical and scientific conferences and has an in-depth knowledge of metabolomics and colorectal cancer.

Sandee Tocheniuk - Executive Assistant
Sandee Tocheniuk has 20 years of executive assistant experience at the University of Alberta and has effectively managed large teams of administrative and research support staff and multi-million dollar budgets.

Victor Tso, MSc - Scientific Officer
Victor Tso has completed his Masters degree at the University of Alberta in Experimental Medicine. His area of study focuses on metabolomics. He has presented his research at national and international scientific conferences and has an in-depth knowledge of metabolomics and their applications.

Rae Foshaug - Manager of Clinical Operations
Rae Foshaug has a diploma from N.A.I.T. in Biological Sciences – Lab and Research. She has worked in Dr. Fedorak’s University of Alberta research laboratory for 5 years, coordinating a variety of research projects. She has presented her research at national and international scientific conferences.

Roman Eisner, BSc, MSc - Manager of Informatics
Roman Eisner received his Masters degree at the University of Alberta in Computing Science. He has over 10 years of experience in data analysis in bioinformatics, metabolomics, and the clinical domains. While working for the AICML (Alberta Innovates Centre for Machine Learning), he collaborated with a variety of researchers to apply machine-learning techniques in a clinical setting. One of these collaborations was with the MTI team, which continued for nearly 3 years before joining the team full-time in the fall of 2013.

Randy Yatscoff / Gigi Ho (TEC Edmonton) - Business Development Team
TEC Edmonton is a business service provider, helping transform technologies into business opportunities. TEC Edmonton helps navigate the commercialization process - transitioning science solutions into business opportunities with a goal to capture the value of the innovation in our region, and for our region. The unique not-for-profit TEC Edmonton is a joint venture between the University of Alberta and the Edmonton Economic Development Corporation (EEDC).
